For sale: Second-hand space shuttle, 100 million miles on the clock... Nasa seeks $42m for ageing spaceships

If you're stuck on what to get someone who seems to have everything for Christmas - how about buying them a Nasa space shuttle.

The space agency said on Wednesday it's looking for ideas on where and how best to display its soon-to-be-retired space shuttles once they stop flying in a few years.

Anyone interested will have to wait until 2010, when the shuttles are due to retire, they will also have to splash out at least $42m and set up a 'climate-controlled display' to keep it in.
