Protesters kick up a stink A tonne of horse manure was dumped outside Gordon Ramsay's Claridge's restaurant by protesters.
Animal rights group Peta was demonstrating against the chef's decision to feature horse meat on his Channel 4 show The F-Word.
In the programme, Janet Street-Porter buys the meat in France, then cooks and sells it at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Ramsay, 40, said: "It's quite gamey and packed with protein."
Though it is legal to eat horse in Britain, the show outraged activists, who protested outside the exclusive Mayfair restaurant.
Peta's Anita Singh said: "Horses are often transported long distances in Europe on extremely crowded trucks with no food or water. Some arrive at abattoirs already dead."
An F-Word spokesman said: "The item did not seek to suggest anything other than the paramount importance of the ethical welfare of any animals bred for consumption." (Ananova)
