תאור כללי

נחש שמנמן שברגע שהוא פוחד הוא "מתכדר" ונהייה כמו כדור קטן להפחיד את אויבו.
מגיע בארך ל1.2 מטר.
בעל ראש עגול יחסת וצבעים חומים צהבהב עם שחור.

כלי גידול

טרריום בגודל מטר הייה מעולה לנחש בוגר.
כמו כול נחש חובה מחבוא וענפים לנחש.

פיתון מתכדר בנוסף למחבוא הרגיל שלו.
צריך מחבוא קטן יותר שהייה צמוד אליו כדי לעלות לעצמו את הביטחון עצמי!.

שבבי עץ "טרופים" הכי מומלצים.
אפשר גם שבבי עץ.

מים

כלי מים גדול מספיק שנחש יכנס פנימה.
יש מגדלים שמכנסים במקום כלי מים מפל לזוחלים.

לחות וחימום

בין 28-31 מעלות. ולחות רגילה.

מזון

עכברים ובבגרות חולדות צעירות.

בנושא מזון פיתון מתכדר הוא אלוף הבעיות.
חלקים (ביקר הזכרים) צמים בזמן החורף ומסברים לאכול משך תקופה של כמה חודשים טובים!.
ויצא לי לפגוש גם נחש שלא אכל שנה!, חלקם פשוט מעדיפים לאכול גרבילים, וברגע הראשון שאתה
מאכיל אותו גרביל עד המות הנחש אתה תמשיך לאכיל אותו בגרבילים.

חושב מאוד!
צום לא חייב להיות רק בגלל "חשק" של הנחש אלה גם טפילים פנמיים של הנחש,
עדיף לדבר עם וטרינר לפני.
